Global hoteliers Ritz-Carlton have just completed work on the chain’s new Hong Kong location which resides within the 118-story high International Commerce Center (ICC) in the West Kowloon district. The hotel, with interiors by Singapore-based LTW Design Works, will occupy the uppermost sixteen stories of the ICC.
312 rooms make full use of the world record height. The building contains a glass enclosed pool and a terrace with wrap-around windows which are located on the 118th floor. Needless to say, it’s not for the squeamish.
Hong Kong has maintained its image as an international business hub and seemingly seeks to win the race to build taller and bigger. This monument to the ingenuity of the human race was designed by the American firm Kohn Pederson Fox.
