I had a similar conversation with a person who is thinking about getting into the business but thinks that there is a distinct difference between architecural designing and interior designing. As I was explaining what I did for a living she said "oh, I thought all you did was focus on the inside things like paint, furniture and draperies." That is when I was left scrating my head with how misinformed the public really is about our profession. The timing of this article is so fitting to my life right this moment.
